Product Details
This handle is designed to fit Yoshihiro Santoku knives. Santoku knives are an all-purpose Japanese blade shape suited to vegetables, meat, and fish.
This handle pairs a Yoshihiro ebony wood body with a Howlite White bolster and a gold-tone accent band. Ebony is a dense, fine-grained hardwood that has been used in Japanese knife handles for generations, valued for its deep black color and smooth finish. Howlite is a natural white stone with soft grey veining, so the pattern on the bolster is unique to each handle.
It's built in the traditional octagonal Japanese handle shape and is available for blade lengths of 6.5" (165mm) and 7" (180mm). This listing is for the handle only; the knife blade is sold separately.
