Fuji with a Full Moon hamon, meticulously made by one of the finest Yoshihiro knife masters in Sakai, Japan. The hamon, which represents the iconic silhouette of Mt. Fuji adorned with a full moon, and a crescent moon on the reverse side, transforms this knife into a unique work of art. This exceptional piece is a one-of-a-kind creation by Master Ikeda.

Our handmade Yoshihiro Honyaki knives are forged with extraordinary skill, employing traditional methods passed down through generations of Japanese swordsmiths. Honyaki translates to "true forged," symbolizing the pinnacle of Japanese knife craftsmanship. Each knife is crafted from a single piece of White Steel #1, boasting a hardness of 65 on the Rockwell scale. The forging process involves heating the steel in furnaces that reach thousands of degrees before quenching it in cool water, ensuring unparalleled strength and sharpness. This technique results in knives of the highest caliber that perfectly blend aesthetics and performance.

The Yoshihiro Honyaki Yanagi Kiritsuke is complemented by a traditional Japanese-style handcrafted premium Ebony wood handle, which is securely affixed with a Water Buffalo horn bolster and a Triple Nickel Silver Ring. To protect the knife and enhance its beauty when not in use, a protective wooden sheath known as a Saya is included.
