Honyaki translates to "true forged" and represents the purest form of traditional Japanese sword-making. This exceptional craft is passed down from generation to generation, with master craftsmen using time-honored techniques to forge knives of the highest caliber. Each knife is meticulously hand-forged from a single piece of high-carbon steel, a process that requires extraordinary skill and precision. The steel is heated to extreme temperatures within a furnace that reaches thousands of degrees, embodying the same craftsmanship used by ancient swordsmiths.

This limited edition knife is a masterpiece created by Masakuni, a legendary artisan at Yoshihiro, whose expertise has helped elevate the art of knife making. The unique temper line of this Yanagi knife is a tribute to the majestic Fuji Mountain, with a full moon design that showcases the intricate artistry and skill involved. The knife is complemented by a premium ebony handle, accented with top and bottom water buffalo horn bolsters, reflecting both elegance and durability.

The accompanying matching ebony saya features Chinagashi indentations, a signature detail often seen on traditional samurai sword sayas, adding an extra layer of cultural authenticity.
