Returns and Refunds

All Returns Require Return Authorization

Exchanges or returns will only be accepted with a receipt and within 14 days of the original purchase date. Merchandise must be unused, in its original condition and packaging, and not engraved to be eligible for return.

You will be responsible for covering the shipping costs to return your item. If the return is due to defective products or incorrect orders, please take pictures of the item and send them to info@echefknife.com, along with the reason for the return.

  • Used knives, or blades damaged due to misuse, improper care, poor technique, sharpening mistakes, or any other user error, are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund.
  • If returned items are found to be damaged, they will not be accepted or credited.
  • Blades sharpened by Yoshihiro Cutlery at the customer's request, special order knives, engraving orders, and custom orders are not eligible for return or exchange.
  • Please return items via insured USPS mail with a return receipt, or insured UPS or FedEx shipping. We cannot guarantee receipt of your returned item.
  • Placing an order indicates your acceptance of our return policy.
  • A restocking fee of 15% to 50% may apply on returned items, depending on their condition.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds (if applicable)

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you via email. You will be informed whether your refund is approved or rejected. If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will be automatically applied to your credit card or original payment method within a few days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received your refund yet, first check your bank account. Then, contact your credit card company, as it may take some time for the refund to be posted. Next, reach out to your bank, as processing times can vary. If you still haven’t received your refund, please contact us at info@echefknife.com.

Breakage or Discrepancies

If your order arrives and you're dissatisfied or there is an issue, please notify us within 48 hours of receiving your shipment. Be sure to take pictures and email them to us at info@echefknife.com. Yoshihiro Cutlery is not responsible for claims made after 48 hours. For breakage due to carrier transit, please retain all original items, packaging, and packing materials for inspection by the carrier. We cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by misuse, improper care, poor technique, sharpening errors, or any other damage resulting from user error.

Exchanges (if applicable)

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged upon arrival (not due to misuse). Engraved knives are also not eligible for exchange. If you need to exchange your item for the same one, please email us at info@echefknife.com and send your item to:

Return Packaging

To return your product, please mail it to the following address along with the Return Authorization Number (RA#). Do not send anything without contacting us first:

You are responsible for paying the shipping costs to return your item. Shipping fees are non-refundable, and if you receive a refund, the return shipping cost will be deducted from it. Delivery time for your exchanged product may vary depending on your location. When returning items, please use a trackable shipping service or purchase shipping insurance, as we cannot guarantee receipt of your returned item.
