This exquisite knife features a unique hamon (the wave pattern on the blade) designed to resemble the iconic Japanese Fuji Mountain, adorned with a crescent moon on one side and a full moon on the other. More than just a tool, this Yanagi is a one-of-a-kind piece of art created by the esteemed Master Ikeda.

Our handmade Yoshihiro Honyaki knives exemplify extraordinary craftsmanship, forged from the highest quality steel using traditional methods that trace back to ancient Japanese sword making. Each knife is crafted by master artisans with over 50 years of experience, ensuring unmatched quality and precision. Honyaki translates to "true forged," representing the pinnacle of Japanese knife craftsmanship. A single piece of White Steel #1 is heated in hearths reaching thousands of degrees, then quenched in cool water, achieving a remarkable hardness of 65 on the Rockwell scale. This process creates knives of the highest caliber, beautifully blending aesthetics and performance.

Our Yoshihiro Honyaki knives feature a traditional Japanese-style handcrafted premium ebony wood handle, adorned with a water buffalo horn bolster and triple nickel silver rings.
