Size: 8"x2.85"x0.9" (without base) | Includes: Nagura Stone

Experience the exceptional quality of our Yoshihiro Toishi Whetstones, meticulously crafted to be significantly larger than ordinary Japanese whetstones, ensuring a more even sharpening experience. With a generous width of 3 inches, this whetstone provides ample surface area for accurately sharpening longer blades. Its substantial height of 1 inch guarantees enough material for years of reliable use. Weighing over 2 pounds and featuring a sturdy wooden base, our whetstones remain stationary and are less prone to slipping, creating a safer sharpening environment.

Renowned for their premium quality, Yoshihiro whetstones encapsulate superior sharpening particles that reveal the finest edge of your blade. Knife sharpening is a key component of knife care, and Japanese knives should always be honed on high-quality Japanese water stones. A top-notch water stone not only provides the optimal surface for sharpening but also preserves the integrity of the high-quality steel used in Yoshihiro Cutlery knives.

At Yoshihiro Cutlery, we believe the best knives deserve special care and attention. Each knife is forged with meticulous precision by master craftsmen, who ensure that the steel possesses the right balance of hardness and elasticity for optimal performance.

Nagura Stone

Included with your whetstone, the Nagura stone is an essential conditioning stone that creates a slurry on the whetstone, enhancing its effectiveness during sharpening. It clears away metal particles and gently flattens the whetstone during use, making it a valuable tool for maintaining your sharpening stones. (Applicable for grits #3000 and above)
